#50 Pilot

Is This Thing on Auto Pilot?!#@

Began making the number plate for the front.  I decided to make it out of brass.  First I printed the font in the correct size on paper, then glued it to a thin piece of brass.  I then cut the outline out on my band saw.  The inner void was drilled and cut out.  Once the the cutting was done, it was filed to round the edges.  Here is the process from left to right.

Here is the backing plate with mounting brackets along with all four numbers.

I then silver soldered the numbers to the plate.  Still needs to be painted, but that can wait till later.

Here is the front pilot, number plate and other items.  The only thing left to do is to paint.  I'll leave other details like the brake lines, coupler linkage, etc. until later.
